Dennis van der Geest (much-feared world judo champion, enthusiastic DJ and omnipresent celebrity; see his biography for details) has teamed up with Ronald Molendijk (from Soulvation fame) to create a new act.
Previously, Ronald Molendijk was the resident DJ of the hugely popular club Nighttown in Rotterdam, evolving into one of the Netherland´s best-known DJs. He was also one of the driving forces behind the Soulvation band .
When these two forces of nature met for the first time, they immediately hit it off and went on to forge a musical partnership that is definitely going places, particularly to dance venues. Their choice of name for their musical endeavors – Ippon,the highest score in judo – is very much indicate of the fact that they are going to give it their very best.
Their very first recording was a catchy tune with a carefree summer vibe: Listen to the Sunshine. It is all about bringing a bit of summer into your home . With those two upbeat characters, you can expect to hear much more mood-lifting material in the future!
